Dr. Rick Beisinger, DVM

Dr. Richard (Rick) Beisinger is from suburban Indianapolis, Indiana.  He received a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science in 1996 along with his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Purdue University in 1999.  For several years after graduation, he practiced equine and some ruminant medicine in addition to the main practice of small animal medicine and surgery.  Through his entire career he has been blessed to have many specialist and doctors share their knowledge with him. Currently his main focus is on preventative medicine in dogs and cats. It is rewarding to Dr. Beisinger to help his clients see their beloved pets live long, healthy lives.  He is a firm believer in client education and good communication.  His belief is people should be treated how he would want to be treated if he were in their position.

Dr. Beisinger and his wife Meredith (Mere) bred Rottweilers for a time. Currently, they enjoy two of their Rottweilers, Elijah and Ziva. They also have a gregarious German Shepard named Noah. They both enjoy dog training and in the future plan to be a home for retired military working dogs or police dogs. In addition to the dogs, they share their home with two cats, two horses, chickens and the wildlife that they care for.  Fishing, hunting, hiking, and target shooting are all enjoyed by Dr. Beisinger.  In his spare time he is happiest on his tractor, hobby farming because it reminds him of his father and their times together.  He enjoys woodworking, taking after his father who was an excellent woodworker and maker of custom cabinets.
